Val-des-Monts recognizes the important contribution made by organizations, advocates and other stakeholders to its residents’ quality of life. With that in mind, the Municipality wants to support their work and initiatives in areas like leisure, social assistance, culture, heritage, sports and community enhancement, be it through direct financial aid or through human or material resources that provide access to services and technical expertise.
- We revised the Policy on the acknowledgment and support of organizations, stakeholders and advocates in 2017 to clarify the steps they must all take when requesting financial, technical, administrative or material support from the Municipality. The policy was designed to ensure transparency and equity for all accredited organizations, while staying within the Municipality’s budget limits.
- More than 60 accredited organizations can receive financial, material and logistical assistance from the Municipality.
- In 2017, we distributed more than $80,000 in financial aid to support the projects and work of some 16 organizations.
